Tuesday May 11th is the day of the annual Kingsbury classic 10k race. More important it represents the first event in the clubs Summer handicap series. Following the results of the Kingsbury Classic our intrepid Chairman will work out the staggered starting times for the following monthly events around the shrunken lake.

The annual Gate Gallop takes place on Sunday June 27th in Tamworth. The 10K race starts and finishes at the Anker Valley football pitches at Amington Tamworth. Entry fee to participate in this traffic free off-road race around North Warwickshire Moors is£8.00 in advance or £10.00 on the day. Further details cane be found on the web site www.gategallop.co.uk

Annual General Meeting
The 2010 annual General Meeting of Oak Park Pacers Running Club
will be held on Tuesday evening January 26th 2010 at Brownhills
Comprehensive School in Deakin Avenue Brownhills at 8.30 pm.

The trophies awarded to the winning athletes who competed in the 2009 Summer Handicap, will be presented on Tuesday October the 6th, at Brownhills Community school, after our regular weekly run. All results can be found by accessing the latest news page listed to the right.
It is proposed to hold a pre-Christmas informal get together on Tuesday December 15th. This would be held after our usual weekly run from the school with the venue being the Chase Inn, situated on the A5 at Newtown (NO its not in Wales, but just down the road from the school). A casual drink with perhaps a meal ?. Alan Roberts as agreed to make the arrangements with the landlord of the hostelry,but an early booking is essential at this time of year. Please if you are interested in going, will you contact Rex by E mail at oakparkrc@btinternet.com as soon as possible, and whether you would be requiring a meal.

Summer Handicap 2009 starts on May 19th. Usual route around Chasewater 5.9 miles staggered start. All runners should finish together.
